Hello, and welcome to my first ever post. If you are like me, aka a massive Avatar Series fan, then you’ve probably been looking for a good fan blog to follow. Been there, and because the internet is SO expansive, I’ve only been able to find the odd post here or there, never a dedicated fan blog. So I decided to create one of my own! If you’re a die hard fan and can recite the series word for word like I can, this blog is for you! If you are a newbie to this whole entire series, this blog is also for you! This space will exist for all fans alike because this series is (in my opinion) one of the most extraordinarily written stories of our time. I can’t wait to dive in and get started with you all. But first, I have a few important things to tell you:

Abbreviations you will see throughout my posts

If you’re already a fan, you will know most of the abbreviations in this series. If you’re a new fan, there are two important abbreviations you’ll see in my posts. Those are ATLA and LOK. ATLA is an abbreviation for Avatar: The Last Airbender and LOK is an abbreviation for Legend Of Korra. I use these abbreviations because it’s simply easier and faster than typing out the whole title and they are words that will be mentioned multiple times in a single post.

I will cover both ATLA and LOK in this blog

This blog will follow both ATLA and LOK in the TV AND comic series. I am a huge fan of both and have seen every episode and read every comic multiple times. I stay up to date with any new release of each and it’s typically something that I’ll end up featuring in the blog eventually. Any time I make a post, I will tag which series the post is about. It may be one or the other or may even be both. If you are only interested in one of the series, you can filter my posts by category in the blog section.

Spoilers are inevitable

If you are a new fan and haven’t completed the TV and/or comics yet, and you are not someone who likes spoilers, you might want to finish up and then come back here when you are ready. I’m a weirdo with anxiety who actually enjoys spoilers because then I know what’s coming lol. Not everyone is like me though so please be warned now, I sometimes go into detail and may ruin something for you. If you are like me, well then read on, I’ve got lots of spoilers for you!

My posting schedule

I’m going to be straight with you, I got 3 kids, 3 dogs, and go to school and work full time, so I might not always hit my mark. My plan is to post content every Thursday because that’s my least busy day of the week. Sometimes I may post a day early if I have extra time or sometimes a day late if I’ve had a crazy week. I’m going to try to post at least once a week though, please be patient with me.

Discussions are encouraged

One of the things I love about the avatar series is the fan base! This series has the most energetic and animated fan base I’ve come across and I’m here for it! I LOVE to engage in discussion with other fans because Avatar is one of those series where everyone can get something different and unique out of it. We all have different perspectives, we all have different stories, much like the beloved characters of the series. I encourage you all to engage in the comments of my posts, whether you’re engaging with me or with other fans. I love to hear from you; even if it’s something you think I got wrong or have a different perspective on. I love that we can all bring something different to the conversation. Just remember to always be respectful to everyone; disrespectful/hateful comments and bullies will NOT be tolerated.
